3D Printed Hollow Form Object
So for this project I was kinda unsure on what I wanted to do, so I was mainly stuck on this design.
I had made numerous changes multiple times and literally nothing worked - so eventually I started messing around with it because I wanted to go to bed...
Anyways, it took me hours to finally get a design I actually wanted to print, but even then I still had too many concerns.
Petals were too sharp, the 'vase' wasn't connected to the bottom of said petals, too much overhang once I put it in Prusa... too many things that went wrong that at some point, I just stared at the screen and began wallowing in self-pity.
I tried again when I was looking through everyone else's designs, eventually stumbling upon the post(s) of the week for our hollow model project.
It was there I saw another one of my designs, one of my more simpler ones, on POTW, and almost immediately - something in my decomposing brain clicked.
This was the design, it was inspired by the flame in Howls Moving Castle - Calcifer. So I thought, what if I made a tiny little vase, hollowed out, but it looked like Calcifer....
type shi.
I didn't wanna make it look too accurate, so I made sure the eyes looked wonky, and that the flames weren't as pronounced.
I think it looks great. it's also very printable (which is a good thing because I opened Prusa over like 20 times for this lil guy).

I'll be using a non-spiral toolpath, double perimeter, and bottom solid layers. Hoping it goes well :P
